We love cookbooks around here.
The beautiful new ones, of course, but also the well-loved ones with splattered pages, handwritten notes and that one recipe the book automatically falls open to.
And then there are the cookbooks we’ve enjoyed but simply don’t reach for anymore.
Rather than letting them collect dust, we thought it would be much more fun to pass them along to a neighbor.
This October, we’re hosting a Welcome Home Cookbook Swap in Easton and Chestertown. It’s free, simple and all about sharing something good with our community.
How It Works
Bring a gently used cookbook you’re ready to part with and choose a new-to-you cookbook to take home.
Maybe you’ll find a great Italian cookbook, something that finally teaches you to bake bread, or an old community cookbook filled with recipes involving alarming quantities of mayonnaise.
That’s the fun of it.
As a little thank you, bring a cookbook to swap and receive 10% off your Welcome Home purchase that day. But you don’t need to shop to join us. Come for the books, talk recipes and see what your neighbors have been cooking.
